Which are the fastest Premer League players this year?
Throughout the 25/26 Premier League season many footballers have managed to set records. And let's see who they are.
Maxence Lacroix, Crystal Palace
The 25-years old french footballer who's playing centre-back for Crystal Palace managed to become famous for his top speed of 34.07 which makes it the fastest within his team and the Premier League.
Alex Jimenes, Bournemouth
At the 10th spot as one of the fastest players in the Premier League's 25/26 season so far stands the Bournemouth player, Alex Jimenes, with the impressive 34.47 km/h.
Matheus Cunha, Manchester United
On his first ever debut for Manchester United the Brazilian player managed to show why he's been worth the money for his transfer managing to reach the wonderful 34.5 km/h top speed on his sprint during the team's match vs Arsenal.
Jean-Claid Todibo, West Ham United
The former Benfica, Schalke 04 and Barcelona defender who joined West Ham United on a load from OGC Nice managed to reach the ninth spot on this list while playing vs Chelsea where he impressed all with racing at the astounishing 35.71 km/h.
Djed Spence, Tottenham Hotspur
The Spurs full-back and English national certainly shows he's trying to sprint towards taking part in the World Cup with his top speed of 34.52 km/h.
Kyle Walker, Burnley
Being the first ever recorded player to reach over 37 km/h top speed with his sprint of 37.31 km/h against Everton in 2023, Kyle Walker, once a famous Manchester City legend who now plays for Burnley, was able to once again show he's quite the speedster. This time with clocking in 34.76 km/h against Crystal Palace in December 2025.
Erling Haaland, Manchester City
We all know that Erling Haaland is an impressive footballer. But he shows it all once again. The Norwegian striker registered 35.20 km/h and joined yet another leaderboard.
Anthony Elanga, Newcastle United
After signing up with his current team, Anthony Elanga's played either as a forward or as a winger and hasn't managed to help his teammates that much but has managed to achieve a top speed of 35.27 km/h this season.
Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal
Gabriel Martinelli has played for Arsenal since 2019 as a left winger and along with scoring some beautiful goals for his team he's also managed to become the quickest player with the Arsenal jersey this year having reached top speed of 35.28 km/h on his match against Arsenal.
Anthony Gordon, Newcastle United
One of the players that's being rumoured to sign up with Liverpool for the next season after managing to play quite well so far for his current team, Anthony Gordon will also be remembered with his rather fast sprint of 35.33 km/h.
Kevin Schade, Brentford
At the third spot when it comes to top pace this season is Kevin Schade. The Brentford winger reached the impressive 35.37 km/h and also managed to make the list of top 10 highest-scoring Germans in the top-flight of English football.
Pedro Neto, Chelsea
The Chelsea player who's played about half the positions this season also managed to climb quite high on this list with his impressive 35.39 km/h.
Jackson Tchatchoua, Wolves
Having once been the fastest player in Serie A with 37.1 km/h managed to become the fastest in his first Premier League starting season, too, with 35.78 km/h on his game for Wolves vs Everton.
Yankuba Minteh, Brighton & Hove Albion
The Gambian professional footballer who joined Brighton in 2024 has made 24 appearances for his club in the Premier League throughout the last season and despite his young age (being only 21 years old) and thanks to it he's also succeeded in becoming one of the quickest players in the top flight of English football after reaching the impressive 36.11 km/h during his game against Man City.
Fastest players in the Premier League since records began
Every Premier League has its top speedsters but records are being kept only since 2020/21 and that makes the records set by some legends of the English football like Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah and Theo Walcott not being taken into consideration for this list. Having said that, though, let's take a look at which are the fastest footballers at the top flight of English football.
Micky van de Ven
During the 23/24 season in it's match for Tottenham vs Brentford Micky van der Ven managed to record a mind blowing speed racing towards in defence of his team. The Tottenham Hotspur centre-back reached the impressive 37.38 km/h, a top speed that he twice got closer to in 2024, once against Newcastle clocking in 37.23 km/h and once the same yeat against Manchester United with 37.12 km/h.
Kyle Walker
The all-favorite defender of Man City also managed to leave his name in the history of the Premier League not only thanks to his impressive skills playing defence but also as being one of the quickest players ever. During the 22/23 campaign he managed to clock in 37.21 km/h.
Jackson Tchatchoua
The Wolverhampton player is also one of the best when it comes to speed having been recorded running at 37.30 km/h.
Chiedozie Ogbene
Playing for Luton vs Fulham during the 23/24 Premier League season, Chiedozie Ogbene, who's well-known as a speed merchant, managed to sprint at the mind blowing 36.93 km per hour.
Pedro Neto
The famous speedster of the Wolves, Pedro Neto, also succeeded in hitting a top speed worthy of being listed as one of the quickest players in the history since records are being kept. Within the 23/24 season, on his match against Luton, Neto managed to clock the astounishing 36.86 km/h.
Jakub Moder
The Polish national, Jakub Moder, signed up with Brighton Hove in 2020 and didn't play long in the Premier League due to going back on a loan to his former team Lech Poznan but during his Premier League debut with Brighton in 2021 he recorded the impressive 36.84 km/h.
Dominik Szoboszlai
The Hungarian central midfielder of Liverpool proved that the money on his transfer were well spend more than once. And such an instance was when he managed to clock in some impressive speeds on the match vs Wolves in 2023. Then he showed how lightning-quick he can be at top speed of 36.76 km/h.
Dara O'Shea
The Burnley player was another astounishing speedster in the 23/24 season when he managed to impress his teammates and all the fans with a top speed of 36.73 km/h when playing vs Crystal Palace.
Antonio Rudiger
Always ready for a rapid turn of pace and famous for being full of surprises, the Chelsea striker was able to get his name within this top list of fastest players in the 21/22 Premier League season while playing vs Brighton & Hove Albion when he reached the impressive 36.72 km/h.
Many footballers have managed to run fast times. Adama Traore, Mykhailo Mudryk, Tyrone Mings, Iliman Ndiaye, Evanilson and lots of others also deserve to be mentioned but there's only so many space and this means some are bound to be left behind.
