Quickly work out your winnings on all sorts of popular bets with our free to use bet calculator
Our free bet calculator is a tool you can easily use at all times to help you calculate your winnings from various kinds of bet combinations and outcomes of the selections you’ve chosen. Of course, placing a single bet might be rather straightforward. But with all other kinds of wagers there are multiple things determining the potential return. Especially considering that there are lots of multi-selection wagers where the odds multiply, you can win with one or two selections only and depending which those are, you’ll have variable prices that influence the end result.
Combine all of this with the fact you might decide to place an each-way bet or that various rules and bonuses may apply and the calculation gets even harder. That’s why it’s better to simply use our free bet calculator to work out how much your bet can return.
Types of bets supported by our online bet calculator
Our free bet calculator supports basically all kinds of bets and let’s see a full breakdown of what those are and what each of them included.
Single bets
Those are the most straightforward kinds of wagers where you’ve got just one selection and, respectively, one bet. That’s a simple way to get started with your betting journey and the potential returns and profits are calculated by taking into account only the odds of the particular selection you’re wagering on.
Each way
Here you’ve got one selection, too, but with two bets placed at the same time. One of those is on the horse to win and with the other you’re betting on horse to place.
Double bet
The contrary is valid here. You’re picking a couple of selections from two separate events and you’re placing one bet with those. It’s a relatively cheap wager which gives higher payouts than placing two singles but it does come with a little bit higher risk, too, because if one of your selections fails, your whole bet fails.
Treble
The treble bet includes one wager with three selections. It’s a popular form of a multiple bet which comes with high potential payout but with a higher risk, too, because all selections must win, otherwise your bet fails.
Accumulator bet
Accumulator bets are the ones where you’ve got four or more selections in one bet. The odds here multiply with each next selection having as its baseline stake the winnings of the previous one. Since that’s a special type of combination, though, you’ll need all of your selections to succeed for your bet to pay out. Of one of them fails, the whole bet fails.
Trixie
Just like with the treble bet, with the Trixie you’ve got three selections. The main difference is the combinations among those because you’re actually placing four bets total, with those being three doubles and one treble, covering a much bigger variety of outcomes. For instance, say you’re betting on Team A, Team B and Team C to win. The full wager includes:
- Team A and Team B to win
- Team A and Team C to win
- Team B and Team C to win
- Team A, Team B and Team C to win
You’ll have to have at least two right predictions to get anything in return, though, because there are no single bets placed.
Patent bet
That’s an even higher coverage bet on three selections where you’ve got seven wagers in total, with the three doubles and one treble included but additional singles on each of the three selections also being placed. That means you need min one of them to come up successfull for you to get any returns. The total stake you’ll have to place is higher, though, because your stake per bet is multiplied times seven (due to the seven total bets you’re placing).
Yankee bet
With the Yankee you’re going a bit higher in terms of how many selections you’ve decided to pick. Here’s where you’ve got four of those spread across 11 possible bets, with six doubles, four trebles and one four-fold acca. Since you’ve got 11 bets, your stake per one of them is multiplied times 11 to get the total amount of money you’ll need to wager. And do keep in mind that here you need min two selections to win for you to generate any return.
Lucky 15 bet
With the Lucky 15 you’re placing 15 bets across four selections. Those include four single bets, six doubles, four trebles and one four-fold accumulator. That’s a full coverage bet which means you’re getting some returns on one successfull selection only, even though those might not be really huge ones.
Super Yankee/Canadian
The Canadian bet consists of five selections in total which cover 26 bets with many possible combinations across 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and one five-fold acca. Now, that’s also commonly known as a Super Yankee, so whichever of the two names you see, they all mean the same thing.
Lucky 31 bet
On the Lucky 31 you’ve got to pick five selections and then those are spread across 31 bets (hence the name). They include 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-fold and one five fold accumulator.
Heinz bet
Another step up the ladder is the Heinz bet which consists of six selections spread across 57 bets. Those include 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds as well as one six-fold accumulator.
Lucky 63 bet
The Lucky 63 bet is much like the Heinz but it’s a full coverage bet because it’s got all the singles, too. So, here you’re betting on 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds, 1 six fold acca and placing six singles, too. Thanks to the singles, you might see some potential returns even on one winning pick.
Alphabet
Here you’ll have 26 bets included and you can shift the combinations to place a bigger emphasis on the selections which you’re more certain of. At the end you’re placing two patent bets with different combos, one Yankee and one six fold acca.
Super Heinz
With the Super Heinz, on the other hand, you’re getting seven selections with a total of 120 bets. They cover 21 doubles with 35 trebles and 35 four-folds, 21 five-folds, 7 six-folds and one seven fold accumulator. Here you need min two winning selections to get any return.
Goliath
One of the biggest types of special wagers you can place is the Goliath. You’ll need to pick eight selections for it, with a total of 247 bets. Those cover 28 doubles, 56 trebles, 70 four-folds, 56 five-folds, 28 six-folds, 8 seven-folds and one eight fold accumulator.
Your potential returns are quite high here because of how the odds multiply but, of course, a £1 Goliath will cost as much as £247 so that’s not a great pick for those with a low budget. And, of course, the risk is quite high because even though you need min two selections to win to get any returns, those will probably not be enough to cover your total stake, unless the odds of your selections are some truly great ones.
Single Stakes About
With the single stakes about you’ve got two selections from different events which then are combined to create two odds. A return on one of the singles then funds the other single. Provided you don’t get a return on the first single, though, the second bet doesn’t get placed.
Double Stakes About
That’s basically the previous type of wager with one caveat. You’ve got your first single selection. If it brings sufficient funds in return, those are used to place double the initial wager on the second selection. Of course, that’s done in two bets, with the order reversed. Also popular as any-to-come if-cash bet, those are some options which are best used by experienced bettors only.
Round Robin
With the Round Robin you’ve got three selections only. Those, though, allow you to place 10 bets in total. Those cover three doubles, one treble and three single stakes about pairs.
Flag
Then we’re going a step further to the Flag bet where you’ve got four selections spread across 23 bets, with those covering six doubles, four trebles, one four-fold as well as six single stakes about pairs.
Super Flag
If you’d like a similar option with five selections, that what the Super Flag is. Here you’ve got 46 total bets which cover 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds, one five-fold and 10 single stakes about pairs.
Heinz Flag
The Heinz bet gets even more complex with the addition of the flag part. In other words, you’ve got the Heinz Flag consisting of six selections with a total of 87 bets. They are spread across 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four folds, six five folds, one six fold and 15 single stakes about pairs.
Super Heinz Flag
You’re probably already gotten the hang of it and, if you have, you’ll quickly realize that the Super Heinz Flag consists of 7 selections with those covering as many as 162 bets. You’ll have 21 doubles, 35 trebles, 35 four-folds, 21 five-folds, 7 six-fold accas, one seven-fold as well as 21 single stakes about pairs.
Goliath Flag
For a total of 303 bets you’ve got the Goliath Flag. Here you’re picking eight selections, too, but those are spread over even a higher variety of wagers, including 28 doubles, 56 trebles, 70 four-folds, 56 five-folds, 28 six-folds, 8 seven-folds, 1 eight-fold and 28 single stakes about pairs.
Union Jack Bets
We really recommend you use this bet only if you’re a really experienced sports betting fan. It’s quite a complex option which can indeed generate high returns but its structure does take a bit more time to get familiar to it. It’s named after the layout where you’ve got a 3×3 grid and you’re laying out the selections on it, then picking eight groups of three. With the Union Jack wagers you’ve got several options to use which include:
- Union Jack Trebles with eight bets across, well, eight trebles
- Union Jack Trixie with 32 bets across eight trebles and 24 doubles
- Union Jack Patent with 56 bets across eight trebles, 24 doubles and 24 singles
- Union Jack Round Robin with 80 bets across eight trebles, 24 doubles and 24 single stakes about pairs
In all cases you’re picking nine selections to create your combinations with.

| Union Jack Patent | nine selections across 56 bets with eight trebles, 24 doubles and 24 singles |
| Union Jack Round Robin | nine selections across 80 bets with eight trebles, 24 doubles, 24 SSA Pairs |
As a quick rule of thumb, if you’ve got any singles within your betslip, you need only a single selection to win to get a return, provided you’ve placed anything over an accumulator. On acca bets, trebles and doubles you need all of your multiple selections to win. On higher bet combos which don’t feature singles but go from doubles up, you’ll need two selections winning to get any return. Of course, it might not be enough to cover the total stake you’ve placed, so here’s where using our free bet calculator also comes in handy because you’ll be able to see what your bet returns in all sorts of scenarios.
Understanding the various odds formats
Before you get started with any sort of betting, you’ll need to know how the odds work. There are several formats you can see the prices depicted in and they are all calculated in a different mannet.
Decimal odds
The decimal odds are the easiest ones to understand. With them you’re directly seeing how much your return will be relative to the stake. For instance, if you’ve got 1.5 odds and you place a £3 stake, provided you win, you’ll get £4.5 in return for £1.5 in profit (the rest is your £3 stake).
Fractional odds
With the fractional odds you’re directly seeing the profit per a given amount of stake. For instance, if you’ve got 2/1, this means that per £1 wagered, you’ll win £2. In other words, say you’ve placed a £10 bet on 2/1 odds. If you win, you’ll get £20 in winnings PLUS your £10 stake returned.
American odds
The American odds are a bit more confusing. Here you’ll see positives and negatives with the ones depicted with a minus sign being on the favorites and the ones with the plus sign being on the underdog. The negative American odds depict how much you need to bet to win 100 USD whereas the positives show you how much you can win when you bet 100 USD.
Different betting bonuses that you might find while placing your wager
Many online bookmakers provide different promotions for special kinds of wagers, usually the ones with multiple selections, and let’s pay a quick attention to those.
All winner bonus
That’s a percentage increase of your winnings which you might be provided with in case all of your selections are successfull. It’s not commonly found and it’s offered on some specific types of wagers only but it’s a great pick when you manage to discover it.
One loser bonus
Another similar percentage-based bonus which is quite like the previous one we’ve mentioned above with one main difference. Such an offer is credited on specific kinds of bets provided you’ve got only one losing selection.
One winner consolation
Finally, on some occassions you might see a consolation prize provided you’ve got only one winning selection out of multiple ones. In this case you may receive double, triple or quadriple the odds on the winning selection.
Additional rules applicable in sports betting
Along with all the other important considerations we’ve mentioned above, it’s also good to be aware of the various rules and options you’ll have provided both in terms of when you’re placing your bet and when you’re calculating the potential outcomes of it.
Each way
The each-way bet is a wager where you’ve got a couple of bets placed on a single selection. With the first portion you’re betting on the horse to win. With the second you’re betting that the horse will finish on one of the first places (up to the fourth). If the horse comes up second, the win bet fails but you win the ‘place’ part. If your horse comes up first, both of your wagers are successfull, hence you’re getting a higher payout. With some bookmakers you’ll get a higher number of places, up to the sixth, making each way bets even more exciting.
Rule 4
The Rule 4 is applied in horse racing betting. It’s used when the runners are withdrawn from the race. After all, when there is a lower amount of runners, the chance that the other ones might win gets higher. So, the odds are respectively adjusted.
Dead Heat
The Dead Heat rule might be applied in case there is a tie between at least two participants in a single event. Commonly used in horse racing or in greyhounds racing, it can also be found in other markets, such as those placed on golf. In case it’s activated, you’ll get your potential returns halfed and paid out to you. For instance, if you would have won £30, now you’ll get £15.

Choose the type of bet
In order for our free bet calculator to work as supposed to, you’ll need to pick what type of wager you’ll be placing. After all, the Patent calculator is much different than the Trixie calculator, even though they both have the same number of selections. Since the number of bets within the total wager differs, though, the calculation is done in a different manner.
Of course, later on you can switch between the different kinds of bets and toggle between, say, Lucky 15 calculator and Yankee or Super Yankee to see what combos you can place a bet with.
Pick the odds format
Something quite important to do is choose the format of the odds shown. Pick whether you’d like them entered as american, fractional or decimal ones. To make it easier, you can choose the same format as the one the bookie has provided you with. If you need some of them to be different only, you can also use our odds calculator to switch between the different options.

Then you can also toggle whether you’d like all of them to be calculated as winning ones. Of course, it’s easy to leave them all like that and then, once you’ve seen the bet breakdown, try out different combinations. You’ll see several options for that, ‘Winner’, ‘Loser’, ‘Void’, ‘Placed’ and a couple of others according the Dead Heat rule.
Toggle the various additional rules and bonuses
If applicable, you can pick whether your wager will be an each-way one or if any of the additional rules might apply, like the dead heat or the Rule 4 one. Select any bonuses, if there are such, too, like the All Winners enhancements or the consolation prizes.
Enter your stake
Here’s the part where you’ll need to enter the amount of money you’d be staking. First pick whether the sum you input will be your stake per bet or the total one. Then enter the number and our calculator will work it all out for you.
