After a successful four-decade-long snooker career that's still going strong, Jimmy White has managed to accumulate quite the huge net worth despite spending lots of his earnings on addictions such as cocaine and gambling which brought him close to bankrupcy. And today we'll delve into the professional life of the famous snooker legend and some not-so-well-known facts about his life away from the snooker table, from White's ADHD diagnosis coming nearly 30 years after he's had successful surgery to remove one of his testicles due to cancer and up to his happy relationship with the former Miss Blackpool who's 23 years younger than the snooker player.

Jimmy White net worth: How rich is the snooker legend Jimmy White?

White has managed to win (and spend) quite a lot of prize money throughout his professional career, with CueTracker setting the figure at £5.1 million. The estimation of Celebrity Net Worth is that he's currently worth about £6.7 million. That would have probably been a lot higher should it had not been for his issues with gambling and cocaine addiction. But you'll see more about that below (along with other important life events to know about Jimmy White such as the fact he's been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder which might explain his issues at least to some point).

Jimmy White professional history: From the very beginning to when Jimmy White made his competitive comeback on Boxing Day and took part in the World Seniors Championship

Jimmy White, also frequently called 'The Whirlwind' because of his play style turned professional in 1980. He's managed to win plenty of titles but when it comes to World Championships he's not had that much of a luck. After reaching the final six time, he's lost all of those. Much more interesting it would be to talk about his successes, though. After all, he's won ten ranking titles throughout his career.

He did win the English Amateur and the World Amateur Championships, though, in, respectively, 1979 and 1980. After joining the professional ranks, he reached the final of the World Championship in 1984 when he lost 18-16 to Davis. Throughout 1990-1994 he's played five finals of the World Championship but he's not had any luck in winning those.

Still, while playing at the Crucible, he's broken some records such as being the first left-handed snooker player to break 147 and one of the six players ever who've made the max at the Worlds Championship.

In 2004 he won the Players Championship and then his carreer hit a downfall. But throughout the 2022/23 he managed to get his professional status back and recently he's managed to win four World Seniours Championships.

Another snooker field where the world title didn't manage to slip away from his fingers once more were the World Doubles (where he became the champion along with Alex Higgins) and the World Cup where he's brought the victory for England.

In 2025 he once again competed in the British Seniors Open where he faced seven other players, including the former World Seniors Champion Alfie Burden and six-time major winner Ken Doherty. After a wonderful performance and the same amazing play that gave him his nickhame, White reached the final only to lose to Joe Perry.

Personal life: Significant life milestones and lesser-known facts about his life

Jimmy White career has been quite an interesting one and it streched for four decades with him still playing strong as he showed at the British Seniors Open campaign. But that's not the only thing worth knowing about the snooker star. So let's now see some of White's most significant life milestones and some lesser known facts.

Now, despite accumulating a massive net worth, White revealed he's been pretty much close to being bankrupt due to massive gambling losses. On the Anything Goes podcast in 2021 he spoke up saing he's gambled £3 million away. And he's had quite some issues with drug addiction abusing cocaine. He opened up on that at the Louis Theroux's documentary Gods of Snooker. There he mentioned how he "tried smoking it and got completely addicted. I remember I had £35,000 in an account and I drained that on crack." Thankfully, he's also earned a substantial amount of prize money so he's not gone completely broke as it would have happened otherwise.

But that's not all that's gone wrong with Jimmy's life. He's been through other life-altering moments and that's particularly true for his cancer battle about 30 years ago. Speaking for an interview with The Guardian, he said: "I discovered I had testicular cancer after finding a lump. It turned out to be two malignant growths and the doctor told me I would have to have the testicle removed. I was so terrified of dying that I didn't even want to tell my wife, Maureen. Luckily I caught it early enough. I even managed to produce a son - my fifth child - which is a miracle, really."

In 2025 he disclosed he's got another medical issue to combat. Or actually it might be finally getting the diagnosis for something he's had to endure for his whole life. And that's what he shares on the Stephen Hendry's Cue Tips podcast:  "I'm gonna give you an exclusive. I got diagnosed with ADHD about two years ago. I've had to graft. With ADHD you think about 15 things at once. So I'm now down to sort of like normal. I have to be medicated and all that and it's completely changed my life."

At least other things are going well for Jimmy. Now clean and getting his life in order, he's enjoying his relationship with Jade Slusarczyk, a TV presenter and model (once holding the Miss Blackpool title) who's 23 years younger than White. Since they've met in 2018 at a snooker event, they've been in a happy relationship. Jimmy credited his partner, Jade Slusarczyk, with helping him stay away from drugs and gambling. Interviewed by The Sun, White disclosed:

"It's impossible to say how much I used to drink in my wild days. It was drink after drink and line after line and I'd go missing for days. It took 15 years to get sober and I don't miss that life at all. Jade's helped me because she doesn't drink. I've never been so happy and I'm pleased to say my life is in a good place. I haven't got a zillion in the bank but I have my family and Jade."

White added that his relationship with the 39 year old has brought him immense joy, telling the interviewers: "She's my girlfriend and she's fit so I'm happy. She's a beautiful girl, inside and out."

So things are going well in Jimmy's life and hopefully he's going to continue enjoying both his newlyfound happiness and lots of successes at the snooker tables.
